If as a consequence of a covered accident, the insured dies within 90 (ninety days) following the date thereof, the company shall pay to the designated beneficiaries, or in the absence thereof to the legal heirs of the insured, the amount of the sum insured contracted for this coverage.
This coverage applies to insureds with a minimum age of 12 years old and a maximum age of 69 years old.
Temporary Total Incapacity:If as a direct consequence of an accident and independently of any other causes, the insured, within the first 10 days following the date of the accident, suffers incapacity for the performance of all the daily work of his occupation and is confined by medical indication in a sanatorium or hospital or at his home, the company shall pay, while the incapacity and confinement subsist, the daily indemnity stipulated in the individual certificate for a period not to exceed 1,460 days.
Temporary Partial Incapacity:If within 10 days following the date of the accident or immediately after a period of total disability covered under the preceding paragraph of this coverage, the injuries sustained by the Insured Party cause directly and independently of any other causes, an inability to perform one or more daily duties typical of his occupation, the company shall pay during the period of such disability, 40% of the indemnity contracted for temporary total disability, but without exceeding the payment period of 182 consecutive days, counted from the date of the accident or immediately after a period of total disability covered.
If while the insured is enjoying the daily indemnity for total or partial disability and as a direct consequence of the accident death or organic loss occurs, the company will pay the insured sums contracted for the death or organic loss.
